{a HILL} is a Swedish brand driven by the love of Indian block-printed and hand-woven textiles. Ever since my first trip to India in 1996 I have been fascinated by the genuine craftsmanship and ongoing textile tradition passed on from one generation to another. After more than 20 years of experience working with India I launched my own label in 2016.

My block-prints are hand-printed in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with wooden blocks by skilled craftsmen and the hand-spun and hand-woven khadi fabric is produced in West Bengal on traditional looms. The vintage fabrics are sourced and hand-picked from various places.

Each {a HILL} item is hand-made in at least one aspect and from small-scale production.
